1. The production power is different

Flux cored wire is mainly welded continuously, resulting in higher production power; Compared with solid welding wire, flux cored welding wire has less welding spatter and a beautiful weld formation, thus reducing the time for cleaning spatter and grinding the surface of the weld.

2. Different structural functions

The internal structure of solid welding wire is solid, and there is a flux core inside the tube of the flux cored welding wire, which can stabilize the arc and improve the operational performance. Compared with solid welding wire, flux cored wire has less spatter and continuous operation will not block the conductive nozzle. The operational function of flux cored wire is superior to that of solid wire. The deposition power of flux cored wire is slightly lower than that of solid wire, but the deposition speed is much faster than that of solid wire.

3. Different adaptability to steel

Flux cored wires generally transfer alloy elements through flux cored wires, so alloy composition can be adjusted from the formula as easily as the manual welding rod to meet the requirements of the steel to be welded. However, every time the alloy composition of solid welding wire is adjusted, it needs to be re smelted and has multiple processes that are difficult to control, making it difficult to meet the requirements of low usage and wide variety.

4. Different application costs

Compared with craft welding rods and solid welding wires, the price of flux cored welding wire itself is relatively high. But for large enterprises, the use of flux cored wire shortens the production cycle and makes it easier to ensure the quality of welds, so the comprehensive benefits it brings are very high.

5. Different moisture resistance performance

Due to the limitations of its manufacturing form, ordinary medicine core wire has a continuous gap on the side of its steel skin. So the storage time of flux cored welding wire after opening the packaging should not be too long, in order to avoid excessive moisture absorption and affecting the quality of welding.

6. Different scales of use

Flux cored welding wire does not require external protective gas during the welding process. Compared to solid welding wire, flux cored welding wire has stronger wind resistance and anti porosity functions, and better operational process performance! It can also be used for welding various types of steel structures, including low-carbon steel, low-alloy high-strength steel, low-temperature steel, heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, and for wear-resistant surfacing repair. Therefore, compared with solid welding wire, flux cored wire is more widely used.

We can make FCW wire production line and CO2 welding wire production line.
